Jigsaw Programme Update
The South Yorkshire Learning & Skills Council (SYLSC) have invited Thomas Rotherham College into post-tender negotiations to agree the next phase of the Jigsaw Programme.
However we are not yet in a position to re-open the Jigsaw programme. Current plans are for the programme to re-open in late February 2007.
The new phase will build on the success of the old programme with a target of 1200 new Jigsaw places to be secured in high growth sector companies in South Yorkshire. Training will be a key feature of the new programme with each of the new Jigsaw places signing up to a training package that will include soft-skills training together with accredited skills training delivered by one of our training providers.
A further update email is planned as soon as negotiations with SYLSC are complete. There is no need to contact us yet as we will be contacting you once we have the green light from the SYLSC.
