Specialist skills programme
STOP PRESS - THE SPECIALIST SKILLS PROGRAMME has achieved its targets. Unfortunately no more proposals can be funded.
The Specialist Skills programme is for businesses in the Creative and Digital Industries sector and supports knowledge transfer activities to enable both employers and freelancers to gain up-to-the-minute knowledge and skills. It is targeted at the needs of both entrepreneurs and practitioners.
The programme is aimed at meeting 'just-in-time' needs identified by businesses and/or to meet requests for training not available within the immediate area from existing providers.
The subsidy is for professionals to attend training, conferences or workshops or benefit from workplace learning, subject to a sound business justification of the benefits to be gained from the activity. The programme pays 40% of the costs of the activity, up to a maximum of _H grant for each individual activity, with a maximum of c,000 available to an individual business.
